• toshiba corporation, japan presents a dia a compact, high performing & low acoustic noise ac variable frequency drives in ranges from 0.2kw to 15 kw both in 200volts and 400volts. the toshiba vfs9 series ac drives is available with emc noise filter as a model for the entire range while its sensorless vector control gives low speed start-up torque of more than 150% of the rated torque at very low speeds as well. sensorless vector control is an additive feature on motors other than standard toshiba motors as auto-tuning on its own corrects the motor parameters needed for sensorless vector control and the automatic torque boost feature enhances the drive performance at low speeds and comes with features that encompass igbt technology, sinusoidal pwm control technology, high carrier frequency (2.2 to 12 khz), acceleration & deceleration from 0.1 sec to 3600 sec, output frequency range from 0.5hz to 400hz, over loading capacity of 150% for 60 sec and 200% for 0.5 sec with standard operational advantages like automatic torque boost facility, energy saving feature, 5nos of user selectable control inputs and 2nos of user selectable control outputs, dc braking, dynamic braking, 15 preset speeds, inbuilt potentiometer, multiple control inputs like 0-10v, 4-20ma and external potentiometer, an additional feature for external frequency meter or ammeter, added with frequency skip, jog run, auto restart, regenerative power ride via control, close loop control with pi control.
