presenting bolt-on level microcells to effectively measure continuous level of bulk solids and liquids as it is a highly sensitive semiconductor strain gauge and can be bolted directly to the supporting structure. these sensors are ideal for monitoring inventories of any type of bulk material and are mounted on the vessel externally and never come in contact with the material inside. they can be installed in any vessel which is leg, beam or skirt supported, as soon as a microcell sensor is compressed or stretched, a resistance imbalance is created between the silicon crystals connected as the active elements in a half bridge circuit, and a linear high level signal results. it can be bolted directly to the vessels support structure the microcell sensor measures changes in compression of the support member and provides an electrical mv signal output directly related to the material weight and the mv signal can be directly connected to a µp based indicator, which apart from digital indication provides analogue and digital retransmission output. the microcell sensor output is approx 70 mv per 1000 psi of stress and has a full operating range of -700 to +700 mv and find useful usage in various core sectors, viz, power, cement, steel, fertilizers and food industries.
