• marposs offers m 110 modular--an automated inspection system for shaft like components such as camshafts, crankshafts, etc. it can satisfy all typical dimensional and geometric gauging requirements in automatic and semiautomatic mode, at different machining stages (inter-operational as well as final inspection). the system has been conceived for on-line automatic inspection: it can be placed astride any type of conveyor or served by gantry. in semiautomatic mode, it performs with manual part handling while the guaging cycle is automatic. besides gauging, functions like non-destructive testing, marking and segregation may be integrated by just adding the appropriate module to the basic machine as required. the electronic system provides many basic and optional features: static and dynamic measurement, friendly menu-driven operator interface, built-in statistical analysis, feedback signal to the machine tool in case of interoperational use, connection to the host computer or lan, and machine diagnostics, both for electronic cards and machine monitoring. measurements are performed by means of contacts fitted directly onto the gauging cells without intermediate mechanical devices, allowing metrological lab performance to be obtained even in workshop environment.
