• in the recent past gerb vibration control systems pvt ltd has developed a new range of viscomass (the damping medium), which is temperature independent. this is of tremendous advantage as it is now possible to directly spring support some hammers. this is specially relevant against the disadvantages of other methods of vibration control: tilting of hammers - running a tilted hammer can be quite an expensive affair considering the never ending maintenance and shut down costs; vibration transmission - this can be a severe problem especially when one has a machining shop or a tool room in the vicinity; and replacement of rubber pads - rubber pads get worn out and they need a periodic replacement, there is no way that you can avoid it.
