monitors for verification of esd environment, are from credence technologies inc, usa. em aware is a series first-of-its kind in-process esd event monitors that gives detection and accurate measurements of esd events in semiconductor, flat panel, disk drive and electronics assembly environment. it supplies real-time information that permits reduction of losses due to esd and informs of problems with esd-preventive measures, such as ionizers, wrist-straps, grounding, etc. unlike conventional preventive esd measures, state-of-the-art em aware monitors cater actual verification of esd environment. a network of em aware monitors gives an accurate picture of esd environment of the production floor and provides information for yield analysis and spc. miniature and unobtrusive (3"x2.2"x 0.75"), em aware monitors feature high sensitivity and wide adjustment range, local and remote threshold setting, audio and visual indication of esd events, event "hold" indicator, connectivity to virtually any data acquisition and facility monitoring system, as well as stand-alone operation. these monitors work with either built-in or optional remote antennae for monitoring esd events in tight spots, such as inside the semiconductor tools, reticle handling, ic testers, gmr head assembly stations, etc. model ctc032 provides detection of esd events, while ctc033 adds measurement of magnitude of each individual esd event with the data provided to the daq or fsm. model ctc034 further adds 4-digit esd event counter with reset.
