Zinc carbonate znco3 is a bluish-white, lustrous metallic element that is brittle at room temperature but malleable with heating. Zinc carbonate is used to form a wide variety of alloys including brass, bronze, various solders, and nickel silver etc. Zinc carbonate is a widely used micro nutrient; as fire-proofing filler for rubber & plastic compositions exposed to flame temperature; in cosmetics & lotions; zinc salts; as feed additive, topical antiseptic; as pigment. Zinc carbonate has other uses in the paint industry and as an activator in the rubber industry. Zinc carbonate should be kept in a tightly closed container, stored in a cool, dry, ventilated area. Containers of this material may be hazardous when empty since they retain product residues, observe all warnings and precautions listed for the product.
