Cable assembly constitute a complete assembly of fibers, strength members and jacket. Cable assembly come in lots of different types, depending on the number of fibers and applications. They are widely used in it, data and telecommunications, lan, wan, audio, video applications etc. Simplex cables are one fiber, tight-buffered with kevlar strength members and jacketed. They are used for patch cord and backplane applications. Distribution cables contain several tight-buffered fibers bundled under the same jacket with kevlar strength members. Network cable assembly and industrial cable assembly are small in size, and used for short, dry conduit runs, riser and plenum applications. Breakout cables are made of several simplex cables bundled together. It is suitable for conduit runs, riser and plenum applications. Loose tube cables are composed of several fibers together inside a small plastic tube, ideal for outside plant trunking applications. Armored cables installed by direct burial in areas where rodents are a problem. Aerial cables are for outside installation on poles.
