Acoustic transducers use ultrasonic technology and other modifications to correct various problems that occur in various industrial welds. These new technology acoustic transducers work by generating ultrasonic waves including surface waves and longitudinal waves that operate at high temperatures and allow rapid scanning. Acoustic transducers are used for various purposes today they include volume inspection of welds, inspection of external fuel tank welds, inspection of circumferential welds, submarine welds, inspection of seam welded tubing's, and offshore tension leg weld inspection system. For some time now acoustic transducers have been assisting engineers to survey structures with expediency and also assess the structural state of a structure.
