Compressed air cylinders are considered hazardous because they contain air a high pressure. Dropping, dragging, rolling or sliding can cause great hazards to the compressed air cylinders. Also, the valve of a pressurized cylinder if opened without the proper pressure-reducing valve attached, can result in great losses. A compressed air cylinder is always filled only with grade d breathing air but not past its hydrostatic test date. The pressure for every air cylinder is fixed and should not be exceeded, as it may be a cause of concern. The pressure should be released using the pressure release burst disc, only when specified, not before or after that. These types of air cylinders require regular serviceability. The storage of these cylinders in very problematic at times, as they are regarded as hazardous substances. The compressed air cylinders are always stored and are secure in a non-corrosive atmosphere with valve upright and closed.
