Lobe pumps are positive displacement devices that use rotating lobes to direct flow. They are used in a variety of industries including, pulp and paper chemical, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology. They are offered with superb sanitary qualities, high efficiency, reliability, corrosion resistance, and good clean in place and service-in-place characteristics. They are frequently used in food applications because they handle solids without damaging the product. They are similar to external gear pumps in operation in that fluid flows around the interior of the casing. A rotary lobe pump is used for many applications including wastewater treatment, flocculate metering, sludge de-watering, belt filter press, daf sludge, food waste, poultry waste etc. Sanitary lobe pumps are featured with low maintenance cost, bi-rotational, light weight, ceramic coated shaft sleeves and have wide applications ranging to food, pharmaceutical grade and cosmetic products.
