Apparel dress or clothing simply means a well designed covering to be worn on a person's body. Clothing is defined, in its broadest sense, as coverings for the torso and limbs as well as coverings for the hands (gloves), feet (socks, shoes, sandals, boots) and head (hats, caps). People almost universally wear clothing, which is also known as dress, garments, attire, or apparel. People wear clothing for functional as well as for social reasons. Apparel are meant not only for social reasons but also to protect from the harsh climatic conditions. It protects the vulnerable nude human body from the extremes of weather, other features of our environment, and for safety reasons. Besides, apparel is a way to express the social, political, religious, and economic status as well as trend, of the present. For example - many muslim women wear a head or body covering known as burakha.
Apparel dress also reflects occupation in some cases like military, police, and firefighters usually wear uniforms, as do workers in many industries. School-children often wear school uniforms. Apparels also elucidate which ethnic cult it belongs to. Most sports and physical activities are practised wearing special clothing, for practical, comfort or safety reasons. Common sportswear garments include shorts, t-shirts, polo shirts, tracksuits, and trainers Common clothing materials include, clothes typically made of viscose cotton, flax, wool, hemp, ramie, silk, synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon. Other clothing materials include fur, leather, denim, jute. Leather garments are made from animal skin. With a gamut of variety of materials available and many fashion designers throughout the world, fashion clothing is a way of life. Embroidery, lace work, swarovski, and intelligent patterns on a variety of dresses make exquisite clothing. Embroidery work is very popular in womens apparel. Embroidery ladies apparel can be worn socially, formally as well as in parties.
