The wide range of standard sizes are modular in design concept and are successfully used in wide range of industries. The gear case is usually made of close grain cast iron or structural steel. Worm shafts are made of hardened alloy steel of suitable grade and are duly hardened and lapped. Extra efforts is made to ensure that they are free from distortions resulting from heat treatment and are made of phosporous bronze. All gears are generated on hobbing machines. All bearings are taper roller type for long life and high load bearing capacity. Apart from standard size, gear boxes are also tailormade to suit individual requirements or as per specifications provided. .
