• Selectron model rc100 is a 4-digit rate indicator accomodated in a din enclosure of size 48 mm (h) x 96 mm (w). The 0.5", bright red led display reveals the rate of input pulses in rpms. It chooses the resolution of the displayed value on its own between 4.000 and 9999. This auto ranging advantage makes it an easy to use instrument for a number of rate indication applications. The instrument also chooses the suitable response time for display update, relying upon the input pulse frequency and tunes to it. It thus exhibits an accurate (0.05%) and stable readout even for erratic pulses. It exhibits swift and dynamic response to unforeseen changes in the speed. Application areas are speed monitoring of motors, flow rate indication, and production rate monitoring. It takes in inputs from sensors like limit switches, proximity switches, photoelectric sensors and potential-free contacts. It has a built-in 12 v dc supply for powering the sensors that are protected against short circuits. In low speed applications, it is a cost effective solution, replacing use of encoder or multitooth wheels. The instrument needs a panel cutout of 45 mm (h) x 92 mm (w) and a clear space of 120 mm behind the panel. It needs a supply of 230 v ac/110 v ac/24 v ac at 50/60 hz or 12 v dc or 24 v dc (factory set)..
