• Selectron model xc22a is a 4-digit preset counter. The preset value could be set using push wheel switches from the front bezel. User areas have manufacturing and process applications in order to have a control over the following: batch size cut to length operation, batching, packing, roll forming, blending, punching and drilling, and count, length, position applications. Count value is displayed as a 4-digit bright red, 7-segment led display. The display increases by one on every pulse at the input. When in the on delay mode, the relay is off while the counting is on and turns on when the set point is reached. In interval mode, the relay is on while the counting is on and turns off when the set point is achieved. In autoreset mode, the waits for a specific time duration could be after reaching the set point. It resets thereafter, for the start of a new cycle. The time duration is field settable through a potentiometer from front panel. In non overrun mode, the counting ceases after the setpoint is reached, and later continues. The instrument takes in inputs from a variety of sensors like limit switches, proximity/photoswitches, etc. The proximity can be npn or pnp type. An in-built 12 v dc supply is provided for powering the sensors. In the absence of power, the current count value is retained for 30 days in battery backup models. The xc22a is housed in a 72 mm x 72 mm din enclosure. It needs a panel cutout of 68 mm x 68 mm and a clear space of 120 mm at the back of the panel. The instrument is powered from 230 v ac, 110 v ac, 24 v ac or 12 v dc or 24 v dc supply (factory set) and can be seen in 2-digit or 4-digit models..
