• Century hoist is the good result of modern research and development in the field of material handling equipments. It is developed in modular construction with each component having easy access for maintenance purpose. The rope drum, gearbox, motor, brake and panel can be easily attended to. The frame is of robust design fabricated from steel plates and is welded/bolted type. Steel wire rope with minimum factor of safety of 5 is given as per is: 3938. Complete gear train for hoisting motion is in an enclosed casing, offered with oil bath lubrication. The gears are build from alloy steel. Forged steel shank type hook with thrust bearing for swivel is incorporated. Trapezoidal section hook conforms to is: 3815 or is: 8610. Motors are of squirrel cage 40% cdf rating in class `f' insulation as per is 325:1970, of reputed make. The hoist motor is fitted with an electro-magnetic brake of shoe/disc type. The brake is developed for 150% of load torque to ensure safe holding of the load. .
