Outstanding features of bobar: solid carbide blade useful on both edges; blade can be reground or replaced; two guide pads absorb and utilize the radial and tangential force in burnishing the bore; axial parallelism and ovality is controlled within 1 to 3 microns; same accuracy is obtained in broken and interrupted bores by extending the burnishing pads. .
