This device is a development over other probes in that it supplies exceptional response time (less than ten seconds) and has a sharp-tip penetration probe needed by industry users. The unit also has a big, easy-reading digital display and is priced much lower than other units with these features. Designed to be user serviceable, it oper- ates using batteries (supplied) of the typical photographic button variety. Batteries can be easily installed and last ap- proximately 2,000 hours in typical usage. The unit is built to industrial specifications and is uneven and durable.
