• Prism electronics pvt ltd, a mumbai based company manufactures combustible gas detectors - model xp 702 that detect gas leakage with sintered semiconductor gas sensor.These detectors are intrinsically safe hand-held portable devices with automatic micro pump. The minimum detectable leakage rate of these detectors is 3.3 x 10^-5 atm cc/sec. These can be calibrated to detect most combustible gases and non-combustible gases, and vapours including poisoning gases. The minimum detectable concentration is 10 ppm or even less than that of gas used for calibration. The operating temperature range in which these detectors can work is -20 to +50 deg c (-4 to + 122 deg f). The power is by means of aa size dry cell batteries (1.5 v x 4 pcs). These batteries can run for 3 hours continuous.These detectors with dimensions 155 mm x 68 mm x 32 mm weigh 400 g. The signal of leakage is made by intermittent tone alarm and the flashing lamp with frequency proportional to gas concentration. Standard rubber search probe, carrying case, filter/moisture trap, set of four aa size dry cell batteries, 60 cm annealed copper tube (bendable) with 50 cm unitube (hose) are the standard accessories of the detector..
