• Bangalore-based simpletech instruments supplies table top model spring testing machines. These machines are available as manually operated ones or numerically controlled (automatic with dc servo drive) ones. Short stroke machines of 300 mm suitable for spring testing, or longer stroke machines suitable for tensile testing of wire, rubber and plastic, are available. The electronic system is designed based on single chip micro controllers. This ensures low power consumption, high reliability, low heating up and compactness. Various advanced features are provided to reduce human errors: push to zero for load, reset and preset for length; programming set points, automatic positioning or loading to the set points; recall display or printout of test result; unit selection for force or length and peak hold suitable for failure strength test. Applications are for testing tension and compression springs. An extra attachment is offered for testing of torsion springs. Applications other than testing of springs are failure strength testing of components, crimped cables, insertion or pull force finding for electrical connectors, switches, buttons, tensile testing of rubber, plastic, finding the crushing strength for tablets, capsule and finding torque versus angular deflection characteristics of clutch plate..
