• Sivananda offers a cost effective indigenous capacitance and tan delta measurement system for monitoring insulation condition of high voltage equipments like bushing, transformers, motor, generators, power cables, power capacitors, and other high voltage equipment. The variation of capacitance and tan delta with the applied voltage provides useful information about the deterioration in insulation. Siva capacitance and tan delta test measurement system comprises c and tan delta bridge model mls- 11d, high voltage power supply model hls- 12 with built-in gas filled (sf6) standard capacitor and a set of cables. The design of the bridge uses the principle of three winding differential transformers on a high permeability mu-metal core which makes it compact. The bridge is contained in a sturdy metallic housing with mu-metal lining which shields it from external electromagnetic and electrostatic influences in a substation and switchyards. It is suitable for testing grounded, ungrounded and guarded objects. Mls- 11d has a tan delta range of 0.000 1 to 11.1 with a minimum resolution of 1 x e-6 and capacitance range of 1 pf to 1.1 micro farad which can be extended up to 1,000 microfarad by using sivas current transformer, capacitance resolution is up to 0.1 pf. High voltage power supply is available with a range up to 35 kv, 1.5 a. The instrument conforms to international standards and has been accepted all over the country..
