• Sivananda offers a capacitance meter with simultaneous readout of capacitance and dissipation factor (tandelta). This meter is designed to meet the requirements of the manufacturers in the laboratory and users for incoming inspection. Two different reading meters permit simultaneous measurement of capacitance and dissipation factor. A low level 120 hz test signal is used to minimise the effect of any capacitance vs voltage nonlinearity. It utilises the 4-terminal measuring principle where constant current is applied to the sample and the voltage drop across the sample is defeated, thus resulting in a linear meter scale which maintains high resolution at any reading. Some of its features are: wide capacitance range (1 mfd to 250,000 mfd), internal dc bias, fast response, and touch and read operation.
