These motors supply stop-and-hold security for conveyos, hoists or other applications needing fail-safe protection in the event of power loss to the eletric motors. Spring- set brakes in ratings matched to the motor output are pre-connected to the motors for eas-of-installaion and safety of operation. Single-phase totally covered fan-cooled designs with nema c face mountings and base are base are stocked in sizes from 1/3 through 1 hp (0.25 through 0.5 kw). Three-phase designs are offered in tefc or drip-proof enclosures in base-mounted and nema c face versions from 1/3 through 7 1/2 hp (0.25 through 5.5 kw). In addition the comany also gives an array of brakekits which permits of rfield-conversion of many sizes of general purpose tefc motors to brake motors. Double nema c face coupler brakes are also offered in statndard and washdown-duty versions. .
