Drive-in racking system are manufactured to a code of practice as recommended by storage equipment manufactures association (sema 1986), the australian standard for steel storage racking (as 4084 1993) and is-800/801. The steel profiles used are manufactured to guarantee minimum yield point of not less than 400 mpa using high grade steel and tensile strength of no less than 540 n/m2. Its frames are the post sections are formed on a purpose built into a special section, returned flanges have punched holes at 100 mm spacing to accept bloted bracing sections. Its front face is punched by the twin slots set at 100 mm increments to accommodate the end connector. Interlock frames are available in 4 gauges up to 3 mm in standard, medium, heavy and extra heavy sizes and in two post widths of 96 mm. Its beams box beams are fabricated from twin rolled c-section interlocked to form a rectangular box section, and welded at each end to a compatible steel connector to effect attachment to the frame. Open section beams are provided for light duty pallet load or shelving applications. Beams are adjustable on vertical pitch of 75 mm. These beams has a safety lock to prevent accidental removal.Deflection is limited to span over 200, i.E., maximum of 13.50 under listed maximum weight loading for a 2700 mm span. The safety is 1:l.65 for yield on all loading shown. The weight loads sted to sema are recommended of span over 200, and beams have a two directional 5-hook end connector. .
