• Hypalon membrane is a white, polyester, scrim reinforced, single ply, chlorosulfonated polyethylene membrane. This is a non-vulcanized elastomer that cures into a cross-linked rubber after exposed to the environment. The thermoplastic nature of the virgin membrane enables it to be hot air welded on the roof. As the membrane cures, the welded seam can become as strong as the membrane itself. The curing process also adds strength and durability to the membrane. This is a reinforced, heat weldable membrane based on dupont-dow hypalon, chlorosulfonated polyethylene ( cspe ) synthetic rubber. It is one of the most durable materials in today`s membrane markets. This membrane is used for roofing system in new construction, re-roof and retrofit applications. Hypalon water proof membranes are high in demand as they are heat weldable, they get stronger over time, has outstanding weatherability, fire, chemical & ultraviolet resistance and are extremely durable as the scrim reinforcement adds to puncture resistance. Because of its particular chemical structure, it is highly resistant to weather, chemicals, oil and pollutants. Roofing membranes of hypalon have all the toughness needed to withstand the elements.
