This breaker is a combination of vacuum interrupters placed in resin cast housing, maintenance free magnetic actuator and electronic controller with sensors. It means a maintenance free circuit breaker for its whole life and the following are its features; highly compact, fewer components, simple mechanism, longer life, zero maintenance, simple directly coupled linear motion. Its are advantages very compact; less number of parts (no motor, gear, levers and linkages); only one moving part (shaft); mechanical life of 1,00,000 co operations; and self supervision of breaker operation and auxiliary switches using advanced micro processor technology. Zero closing and opening facility is available as an optional feature. It can be applied in view of high reliability of the vma1 circuit breaker, it is recommended for unmanned substation, auto reclosing, critical and frequent switching, etc. .
