• Scr-scr drivers are developed to switch two back-to-back connected thyristors (solid state ac swiches) for switching high current ac loads with low voltage dc control-logic compatible-ensuring full switching of the thyristor switch supply for the gate drive is derived from the load side because from the ac voltage itself. Switching is silent, instant, are free and can be used to latch the thyristors of high current rating with mains voltage or 230 or 415 v ac its input control of low voltage and the power citcuit are optoisolated. The control signal of even a low power dc such as 3 v/3 ma dc can energise the driver to switch on the loads of low power factor such as welding trasformer in resistance welding machine and other inductive loads. The drivers are pcb mounting type and are found in two types each for 230v av and 415v ac respectively. The models are compact and all in one size. Features: input control-dc ttl-cmos compatible and also phase control compatible; output-to drive high current thyristore; and drive-ensures full 180 conduction of scrs it can be used thyristor ac switches to replace electromechanical contactors in resistance welding machines, motor starters, power factor capacitor switching, furnace controls, ac regulators, soft start control, capacitor discharge, etc. .
