• Panchal machinery presents the power master range of worm gear reduction units. These units are made in various sizes in adopter type as well as solid foot mounting type to exchange minimum 0.05 hp and maximum 90 hp power with selection of correct sizes. These are normally offered in reduction ratios of 5:1, 10:1, 15:1, 20:1, 30:1, 40:1, 50:1 and 60:1 and 70:1. Also higher ratio from 100:1 to 3000:1 can be given on specific inquiries. The worm is solid with shaft made of high grade alloy steel so as to give hard water resisting surface, duly case hardened and profile ground on thread grinder. The bearing and oil seal journals are accurately cylindrically ground to give smooth running. The worm wheel is made on centrifugally case phosphor bronze rim shrunk and keyed on case iron centre block for bigger units and solid casting for smaller units. The teeth are hobbed on gear hobbing machine. The gear housing is made of close grain graded case iron. Large cooling fins on both sides adequate cooling area improves efficiency. Ball or roller bearings are used in worm wheel with ample capacity so that is can take journal and thrust loads. Best quality of oil seals are used. Specifications: wherever they can be applied in material and construction they are made almost i.S.S 3734-1966 for worm gearing or din or latest isi standard..
