• C-map has entered into contractual agreements and been appointed as official distributor of electronic navigational charts (enc) from national hydrographic offices. The enc greatly enhance navigational safety by improving situational awareness, especially in busy or confined waters. The chart helps to simplify traditional navigation process such as route planning and chart updating, also enable the automation of route tracking through use of satellite positioning devices. The national hydrographic offices are situated in australia, baharain, france, germany , japan, italy, greece etc. To display an electronic chart you need either an electronic chart system or an electronic chart display information system .
electronic charts are displayed within an electronic chart system as an aid to navigation.
