• Products available in the market copper or electronic ballast by itself will generate power to offer equivalent light output of a convenational system at 28/29 watts of power consumption. This ballast copper or electronic with around 4.00 wattloss can perform similarly and offer equivalent light output at 28/29w of power consumption as against 52 to 54 w of power consumed by conventional system. It is mainly possible because new generation high-lux tube lights are available in the market that offers around 35% extra light output. The excess light provided is of use to the existing industry/institution where illumination levels are already decided. If low loss copper ballast is designed to consume 28/29w of power along with a high-lux tube light it will deliver the equivalent light output at such low power consumption, avishkar has successfully manufactured atl-40 model, which has a wattloss of about 4.00 w. The newly developed atl-30 model with similar or less wattloss when operated along with a high-lux tube light will consume 28/29 w of power at rated voltage and will deliver the required light output. Thus 45 to 50% energy can be conserved in fluorescent lighting. .
