Rotary evaporator is essentially a thin film evaporator. The rotating evaporation flask creates continually a large surface area covered with a thin film and permit uniform transfer of heat through its glass wall to the thin film. It can be used for batch and continuous operations under atmospheric or under vacuum conditions. Rotary evaporator is applied widely for distillation of solvents, concentration of solutions, crystallization, synthesis & purification, powder & granules drying.
