• T-square technologies presents single constriained layer, metal foil + viscoelastic (mv) and double constrained layer, metal foil + viscoelastic + metal foil (mvm) damping systems. These metal foils have a layer of viscoelastic damping material merged with aluminium or stainless steel. Damping mechanism in this treatment is cyclic shear deformation of the damping material which realistically reduces structural born vibrations. Reducing the amplitude of vibrations results in reduction of noise. Sizes available are 300 mm x 300 mm, in thickness of 1.2 mm to 1.5 mm. These are offered in regular or fire-retardant type and also in pressure sensitive adhesive backing for fast and easy application. They are highly flexible and can be cut a nd trimmed to fit any contour or shape. The viscoelastic metal foils find application in automotive, aircraft and aerospace industries, bin chutes, packaging lines, pipes, ducts, metal finishing, ball mills, food processing and mining equipment, disk drives, printer and assembly machinery. Product can be custom-designed as clean room ready-to-use part for specific applications..
