These belong to a group of unique non-contact temperature measuring instruments mainly designed for harsh operating environments. They agglomerate superior performance with the best digital technology. These integrated units offer smart digital electronics, wide temperature rangesadvanced electro-optics and a built-in user interface in a rugged, compact housing. Two models, ma1s and ma2s, cover temperature ranges of 500&176; to 3000&176;c and 250&176; to 2000&176;c respectively, and provide fast, real-time monitoring for medium and high temperature applications. Marathon ratio (two colour) thermometers (mr1s) with three models to cover temperature range of 600&176; to 3000&176;c are used where the target is small, moving or obstructed due to dust, smoke and other particulates in the atmosphere. The unique "two colours two way"feature enables switching between one colour and two colour operation which simplifies setup and provides continued measurement flexibility. Marathon fibre optic ratio thermometer (mrif) is offered in various models to cover temperature range of 650&176; to 3000&176;c and allows measurement of targets that would be otherwise inaccessible because of space constraints or harsh environments. These thermometers have fast response times down to 1 msec and superior optical resolution of 300:1. They allow bidirectional rs-485 serial communications between the control room and the factory floor. They come standard with fieid calibration, hardware diagnostics and communication utility software. Optional data temperature software facilitates use of the smart digital communications features and allows remote monitoring trend plotting, data logging, sensor setup, process alarming and statistical process control..
