• Stephenson & co presents an all stainless steel twin screw pump for process industries - its very efficient, trouble free with no maintenance. This is proficient of handling very high viscosity with a certain percentage of solids and also which can handle abrasives. Twin screw pump has a pair of profiled screw. The screws are synchronized by a pair of hardened and profile ground timing gears which keeps a small clearance between the moving screws. This therefore assures that there is no metal-to-metal contact. This helps the pump to even run dry and can easily handle liquid without lubricating properties and of very high viscosities. Since there are no contacts between the moving screws wear and tear is reduced to minimum, giving extremely high service life. The pump has no rubber parts. The internal velocities are very low and the npsh is minimum equalise to other positive displacement. Both the screw move in-opposite direction-hence there is virtually no axial thrust. Also sealing is always under suction pressure due to typical flow of the liquid, thus permitting to use simple seals..
