• Epson-ta is an excellent coolant-cum-lubricant in past and liquid form with benefits like reduced tap breakages and the resultant savings in tap cost; reduced tap wear and improved tap life due to longer retention of sharpness and hardness; improved surface finish of the tapped areas; chips do not get accumulated in the threaded holes, hence accurate dimensional checking is possible; and reduced cutting force and torque in tapping, hence less worker-fatigue, leading to improved productivity. Espon-ta is non-corrosive, non-toxic and safe tohandle. It is very useful in the case of difficult to machine materials like austenitic stainless steel, nickel base alloys and aluminium alloys. It can also be used as an additional coolant-cum-lubricant in in turning, milling, shaping, drilling or reaming where continuous cooling may or may not be provided. Espon-ta is very useful to the manufacturers of machine tools, heavy machines, valves, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic systems, electrical fittings, etc..
