• A 100% indigenous, microcontroller based, userfriendly, self tuned pid temperature controller, lc-40 is yet another innovative venture from ppi. It is a true industrial grade process controller packed with highly sophisticated software features to give optimum control performance at extremely low price. The salient features include selftuned pid algorithm, 2 ramp + 2 soak profile, auto/manual mode, 3 level software locking to prevent unauthorised data entries, non volatile memory (no batteries required), dual digital display for optimum process information, membrane keypad for programming and one auxiliary alarm setpoint. It accepts input from a wide range of thermocouples, pt-100 sensor or linear current/voltage signal from transducers. The use of high resolution adc, software linearisation for temperature sensors, automatic cold junction compensation for thermocouple input and lead resistance compensation for rtd input ensures a high degree of calibration accuracy. The self tuned algorithm automatically calculates the p, i, d terms and removes much of tiresome procedure of manually setting control parameters. An electromagnetic relay changeover contacts or 12 v dc pulses are provided at the output for time proportionating pid control. It operates on 230 v ac supply voltage and is housed in an attractive abs moulded enclosure of dimensions 96 (h) x 96 (w) x 150 (d) mm, and panel cutout 92 x 92 mm..
