• The housings in the new s-line interbus product range offered by phoenix contact are connections in a small space for eight sensors or actuators with standardized m8 round plug connectors. Their compact design gives the housings applied to high packing density use in machines. The plug connectors are placed in a row to enable easy handling. The modules can also be provided with its harsh industrial environments directly by the sensors/actuators, the housings are built to protection category ip 67. The housing is provided with a standardised m12 round plug connector for connecting the s-line module to the bus. Standard m12 cable is applied to achieve application-oriented wiring to the field bus and power supply. Y-plugs or 3-way adapters enable spur lines of a few centimeters up to several meters in length to be laid to the i/o modules, so that even distant sensors/actuators can be reached. A control button module with four illuminated buttons provides easy machine configuration such as start/stop and jog functions for movements. Wiring is done with a specially labeled m12 y-plug that permits for integrating a two-channel safety circuit into the existing wiring. Two cables are provided here for connecting emergency cut-out buttons or safety door switches to the standard safety relay. .
