• Presented by elecon engineering company limited roll stand of size mw 355 j is an innovative venture. This can be developed in various sizes as per the requiremnt of the client. The toothed coupling, on left top, receives power and drives three rolls through trio of spiral bevel gears meshing to each other. Tooth profile of spiral bevel gears is cyclopalloid, gears are made from high tensile steel en-40b as per bs: 970 accurately generated and nitrided. The shafts are at 120( to each other and supported in antifriction roller bearings of adequate size to take care of radial and axial loads permitting large degree of freedom against misalignment. The rollers made of cast steel are proof machined before assembly and are finish machined on special purpose boring machine for given size of outside dia of tube when rollers are also rotated around their axes. The roll stand’s gears bearings are grease lubricated resulting smooth and trouble free operation..
