• Oil sealed, rotary high vacuum pumps are oil immersed rotary vane type pumps. The rotor which carries two vanes is mounted eccentric with the main body. As the rotor rotates, the vanes sweep the crescent shaped air space twice in each revolution. The vanes maintain close contact with the main body by spring force. An inbuilt non return valve prevents back flow of air all moving parts are precisely machined and ground to close tolerances. The drive shaft carries an extra bearing to take the driving load of the pulley which otherwise results in fast wearing of bush, resulting in leakage and drop in vacuum. .
