It offers a position accuracy of 10 microns and measurement accuracy of typically 50 microns with protection class of ip 65, it can withstand wide tolerance (in mm) in axial movement and clearance of scanning magnet close to the sensor column. It can give synchronou serial output (ssi) which could be translated to standar binary or grey code even at long distance. Alternatively, it can give analogue outputs of 0- 10 v or 4-20 ma and other variants too. Parameterizing interface output rs-422 could be utilized to 'scale' the output as per displacement and startstop points requirement of the user. It is ideally suited for applications where hostile conditions exist in linear length measurement. Further contactless movement of target magnet exerts no force on the linear pomux scale. This scale can be used in online manufacture of chipboards for thickness control, transfer line for precise position registration, cutting of stones and marbles to correct sizes..
