• They consist of a series of filter plates and frames or recessed plates arranged parallely and fitted on conventional cast iron and mild steel structures.A filter pumps is applied to feed the mother liquor consisting of solids and liquids through the feed nozzie of the filter press of the chambers formed between the plates and the filter medium, leaving the solid trapped inside and the liquid drained out.The filter presses are closed manually or bya power operated hydraulic device by pressing the moving head with a ram, sealing the unit for filtration. They are also available to suit high pressure and high temperature filter application for specific requirements. .
