• These covers are used during transportation and storage of rams. The covers are made of three layers, viz , the inner antistatic layer, the middle polyester layer and the outer metallic layer with anti-abrasion coating. The inner layer inhibits tribo-electric charges due to the movements of the content within the cover. The outer layer is abrasion-resistant and has surface resistivity of <109 ohms. The transparent feature provided in these covers is due to thickness of the conductive layer, which act as a faraday cage as well as vapour barrier. This transparents feature also saves on verification time and minimises parts handling, thus, reducing exposure of rams to possible static damages. The ram covers meet with astm-d-257 test standards. .
