Cyanoacrylate Instant Adhesives

Cyanoacrylates are excellent in fast and strong bonding of surfaces and a good shelf life. Cyanoacrylates are also known as superglues or krazyglues to the common people. These adhesives are mainly of two types - ethyl and methyl cyanoacrylates. Ethyl cyanoacrylates bond rubber and plastic surfaces better than methyl cyanoacrylates. But methyl cyanoacrylates bond rigid surfaces like metals better than ethyl cyanoacrylates. Cyanoacrylate adhesives are available in different forms of dispensers. The types include gel, liquid and paste dispensers which are used for specifically different applications.. The gel adhesives are run resistant during application. The liquid adhesives are best to fill deep gaps more effectively. Paste adhesives have very high flow resistant. These cyanoacrylate instant adhesives are used for a variety of surfaces like wood, metals, plastics, elastomers and many more. Most of the super glues have industrial uses. However the adhesives meant for medical purposes are known as dermabond or traumaseal.
